Not entirely sure about the time period on this one, but my first impression was 1950s. Both the cover and the lining are definitely synthetic. I don't know how I'll incorporate it into my hobby, as it is still rather rare to find events set in the '50s. I originally decided to purchase it because the handle is absolutely exquisite; the lining isn't too shabby either. I'm sure eventually I'll figure out what to do with it, but for now, it'll just look pretty.
If anyone out there can offer a more specific date on this one, I welcome your input.
