So far, this is my favorite aquisition, especially since it can be incorporated into one of my costumes "as is." You can see a little bit of discoloration, but nothing that I feel detracts from the overall look of the parasol. The cover is silk, but I have no idea what the handle is; all I know is that it is perfectly lovely. Eventually, I hope to have a teens ensemble to go with this gem!
