Reading Lists

For several years now, I’ve been keeping a list of all of the books I read each year. It all started with the Fifty Book Challenge in 2007; I knew I wouldn’t make it to fifty books, but I set myself what I considered a realistic goal given my reading style and time commitments. My goal was to read thirty books for a total of about 10,000 pages. I didn’t quite make this goal in either 2007 or 2008.

In 2009, I decided to decrease the page number a bit, since I was starting to read a lot of young adult literature in my new position as a middle school teacher; this meant that the average book length that I was reading had decreased significantly, so I could read thirty books and still get nowhere near the 10,000 page goal. To my surprise, I exceeded my goal.

I keep the current page up to date as much as possible. I also keep the previous years pages available, mostly so that I can reminisce, but also so that you can ask about any of the books I have read but not yet reviewed. Please feel free to leave a comment asking about a specific book if you’d like to know what I thought of it.
