Wedding Dress

Okay, now that the wedding is over, I can show my pictures of the wedding dress I made for my cousin.  So far, these are just the photos I snapped of the dress while it was on my dressform.  I’ll post pictures of the bride herself once I upload those.

One Step Forward…

Today was just one of those days.  I spent quite of bit of time working on my Ariel sock only to have to unknit nearly a dozen rows.  The foot just seemed to be turning out too long, and with at least another twenty or so rows to knit to decrease the toe, I decided [...]

So Much to Report

First up, I did the first bodice fitting with my cousin for her wedding dress.  No pictures yet…it’s still so early in the process.  Still, we made some good progress.  The second mock up should fit much better and will be closer to the lines that she wants for the final dress. Top: Done!

Well, mostly done, anyway.  I do still need to hand stitch the facings, but as I said before, I’m going to bring the bodice to work tomorrow and do that during my prep.  I did not, however, have time to get the skirt assembled. Instead, I went to visit a friend of mine who had [...]

Getting Started AND My Latest Duro

Obviously, I haven’t updated my website in quite some time, other than my various blogs.  In an effort to get new content up quickly, I’m switching my dress diaries to a blog format.  I’ll still do formal write-ups for my costumes, giving them their own page so that all the information about that particular outfit [...]
