Back to Socks
Well, the Aragon Tunic is mostly done.  All the crocheting is at any rate. I still need to sew the ribbon to the inside of the belt, add the snap, and sew on the decorative button. Probably not going to happen tonight, however, since it is already 11:30.
After wrapping up the last of the crocheted part of the belt, I was really itching to start a new project. I’ve got this lovely wool that I want to use to make a cardigan, but the thought of working with it in today’s heat was a little unbearable. Plus, I haven’t really settled on a pattern yet. (I had originally used the yarn to knit a sweater, but it turned out WAY too big and had to be frogged. I also realized that the wool was a little too scratchy to work as a pullover.) After browsing patterns for almost an hour, I buckled down and decided to work on one of the numerous projects I already have in progress.
So, it was back to the Herringbone Rib sock. Today I successfully turned my first heel. Woohoo! I’m on a roll with developing my knitting skill set. So, it’s actually starting to look like a sock. I also got a chance to try on what I’ve got so far. It’s a little snug getting the upper part of the sock around my heel, but once it’s on it feels good.
Here’s a picture of the sock before I started on it today.
