Congratulations on being patient enough to un-knit all of those rows! I am working on a sweater right now that I wish I would have un-knit a few rows instead of just marching onward. I got about twelve inches of knitting done and then had to rip it all out and start over because I refused to correct a mistake in the first four inches.

Wow! That is amazing that you have figured how to make a center pull ball by hand. I haven't seen anything like that before and I should start trying to do it! I just ordered a ball winder for myself...of course it was two days AFTER I found this post. lol Oh well thanks for the helpful tip as I am sure it will come in handy eventually.

You're wish is my command! I'd just snapped a few pics the other day; your comment was just the reminder I needed to actually upload them.

I absolutely adore the pattern, by the way. Definitely one of my all-time favorite blanket patterns.

I would love to see a photograph of your Solas Caomh when you're finished it! I always get so excited when I see what someone's done with a pattern I've written.

Hey Lora,

No, I don't recall having any issues with putting the sleeve in, but I'm used to sewing, where you always have to ease the sleeve in anyway. I did take out some of the length in the bodice between the shoulder and bustline, but I also took out a corresponding amount in the sleeve head. I usually concentrate the excess towards the top and upper back of the sleeve, where you want the extra room for movement, but spread it out enough so that it isn't noticeable in the finished garment.

Hey Sue Ellen! Thanks for checking out this new blog of mine. I admire you so much...I tried spinning once and realized that it really does take some serious skills. I'm still pretty new to knitting, too, but have really found the website knittinghelp.com to be really useful. Every time I come across a stitch I'm unfamiliar with, I check there first. For the Herringbone rib socks, I really didn't need to know a whole lot of stitches--knit, perl, yarn over, knit 2 together, and slip-slip-knit--all of which you can see demonstrated on knittinghelp.com.

Hope that helps, and thank you so much for reading.
