alive…barely…

  

Last week of the quarter and coming down with a cold. Ick. Also trying to finish up those applications, finish sewing my CC26 dress, complete the academy attendance spreadsheets, and wrap up plans for my Firefly event. Ugh. Can I crawl back into bed please?

But I refuse to take a day off of work. I only have one full day left, and I really need to save that in case I need to go on some interviews before the end of the school year. So, I’m using every cold remedy in the book to fight this thing, or at least not be as miserable as K has been for the past few days.

I still love my new hair cut, but I must say that I’m ten times better at styling it on the weekends than on the week days. I don’t know if it is because I have more time or that I’m just more awake, but it’s just not as cute on the week days–a bit messier and flatter. Oh, well. As soon as I get it all figured out, it will be long enough that I’ll have to do something else with it anyway.

Oh, and also with this cold, I’m starting to abandon the idea of getting another costume done in time for CC26. I think I just need to focus on finishing the Cranach gown and accessories (especially since I now need a head covering that will do a better job of hiding my short hair). I’ll probably also do a little touch up work on my jedi costume and wear that if I can get a new belt made and get the zipper on my boot fixed. I’ll also probably bring my chemise dress if I make it to the 18th C. gathering on Friday; I might not try to push myself to get there that early. At any rate, I’ll have plenty of costumes to wear without stressing myself out to get another one finished.
