We have paint!

  

Well, primer anyway.  K took today off (a use it or lose it vacation day), so I was planning to spend the day with him at a park for a picnic, but he fell back to sleep after breakfast.  So, not one to waste time, I put on my grubbies and got all four walls covered with their first coat of primer.  I need to find a longer handle before I start on the ceiling, but already I can tell I’m going to need more primer.  Dad was right, the drywall is really soaking it up.  So, I’d rather spend money on another gallon of primer rather than on an extra gallon of paint.  At any rate, the whole process only took about an hour and a half, so by the time I was finished, K was ready to go for our picnic.

We had a great time at a nearby lake.  We ate our lunch, relaxed for a while, and then walked about a mile and a half.  It was the perfect day for it, too.  Warm but with that typical bay breeze that we were lacking all weekend long.

Now, tomorrow needs to be a sewing day!  I’m all set to get the Firefly bodice knocked out.  I’ll cut it out and get the major sewing done in the morning and afternoon.  Then I’ll bring it with me to a friend’s house in the evening to do the hand finishing.  I suppose if I have time, I’ll also work on doing more painting, that is only after the sewing gets done!

For now, I think I’d better take a quick shower before K decides that he is hungry.  I hope he is planning on going out to dinner, because I didn’t defrost anything to cook.  Oops.
