Super Secret Dress for Costume Con in April: Winterhalter’s portrait of the Empress Eugenie and her ladies in waiting.
Ikea Open Robe
This was a sort of spur of the moment costume that I whipped up to add something new to my chemise dress for a picnic.
Firefly costumes for myself and husband for GBACG event.
Well, I at least got a costume done for myself.В K decided not to go to the event, but I had tons of fun anyway.
Natural form Day Dress for possible GBACG event.
I ended up making this to wear at Costume College.В It turned out fantastic.
1830′s day dress for GBACG event.
I ended up not making it to the event I’d planned this dress for.В The dress simply wasn’t done on time, plus I came down with my typical beginning of the school year flu.В I did, however, finish the dress in time to wear it to Dickens fair, where it was very well received.
Modern Clothing
My first duro
I finally used some of the beautiful fabric I bought in Hawaii years ago to make a very adorable, comfortable dress.
Sun dress
I hesitated to make one of these smocked dresses, but the fabric was just too awesome. I’m still not sure it’ll get a lot of wear other than inside the house, but it will make a comfortable lounging-around-the-house dress.
Planned
*Edwardian Dotted Swiss for the GBACG Gilded Age Tea in February.
For the most part, this dress should be finished before the first of the year.
Update: There have not been any updates on this dress because it has not happened yet. I still want to get it finished, but will wear it either at Costume Con or Costume College.
Gala gown for Costume College in August.
I have many ideas for this one, but nothing solid yet. Could be a bustle gown, natural form gown, or I may actually resurrect the 17th Century gown.
ETA: Turns out I’ll be wearing my secret cc26 dress for the gala…I didn’t know that. So, that saves me a project this year. I do love it when I can wear costumes multiple times, so why don’t I plan it that way more often? So, this means I might add a regency day dress and Spencer to my to-do list.
Veronese gown for Renaissance Faire.
This one may not happen this year, especially since I am rather pleased with my Cranach gown.
Striped 1850′s Day Dress or a Sheer dress for Dickens.
The stripey dress has been waiting forever to be made, so I’m leaning towards that one. But part of me wants to make a sheer dress just to spite organizers who insist that workers dress as if it is snowing when they are actually in an incredibly stuffy warehouse. So, it may be unseasonably warm in London this December!
Extras:
I’d love to finally finish my Caraco, even if I haven’t finished the Quilted Petticoat.
I also have some fabulous fabric for a new Anglaise.
